Journeys and Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting
The primary Girl Scout program is called Journeys. There are three Journey books at each level of Girls Scouts which can be completed in any order.
The Girl Scout Program Portfolio has two main parts – the National Leadership Journeys and The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting. Complemented by the Girl Scout Cookie program, Girl Scout travel and Girl Scout awards, the program portfolio is designed to help girls develop as leaders and build confidence by learning new skills. It also ensures that Girl Scouts at every level are sharing a powerful, national experience—girls together changing the world!
There are three different Leadership Journeys series: It's Your Story – Tell It!, It's Your Planet – Love It! and It's Your World – Change It! Each series has separate books and awards for each grade level and a corresponding adult guide. For more about Journeys, visit the Council web site. Jump into Journeys is a new troop/leader patch program. The Jump into Journeys Activity Guide is designed to give you and your troop/group, a taste of specific grade-level Journeys activities. You can view the Jump into Journeys at the Council web site.
The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting is a basic handbook of Girl Scout knowledge, insignia and award earning, and bridging requirements for each grade level. Each troop should own at least one copy of The Girl’s Guide for their current grade-level.
